Hello,

My name is

Chan Jeong

I am an artist, graphic designer, and web developer with a passion for UX/UI design.

As an artist, I focus on exploring the complexity of emotions, often using abstract representations inspired by Bible verses.

My art explores and expresses the emotions I have encountered throughout my life. Because I find it challenging to read emotions through facial expressions, I avoid depicting human faces and instead use objects as metaphors for emotional states. Inspired by the Bible’s rich use of symbolism and analogy, my work approaches emotions and abstract ideas in a subtle, layered way.

During periods of depression and loneliness, God’s words in the Bible brought me comfort and strength. This experience led me to incorporate biblical metaphors into my drawings, using them as tools to comfort others who may be experiencing sadness. Through my work, I challenge societal biases that label emotions like loneliness as negative, emphasizing that difficult emotions are a necessary part of growth and resilience. Ultimately, my goal is to foster empathy, reflection, and open dialogue about the complexity and diversity of human emotion.

Though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever

Psalms 92:7

I believe that I can still deliver emotions, thoughts, and meanings through my art.
